The results of the National Flash Fiction Day micro-fiction contest have just been announced! Big congratulations to everyone commended and to the top three. Though there were loads of fantastic entries, Angela Readman's The Worst Head In The World was the clear winner. I really enjoyed being part of the judging team for this - it's very interesting, from a writer's perspective, to simply read so many stories at once and get a sense of trends, emerging patterns, common mistakes, etc.. Anyway, if you're in the market for a judge, give me a bell. I think I'm hooked.
In other NFFD news, I'm going to be running a flash fiction workshop in Manchester City Library sometime in mid-May. Sign up, sign up! Details to follow.
